The Thompson Region Division of Family Practice is an independently registered non-profit society. The Division gives local physicians and other primary care providers an opportunity to work collaboratively with Interior Health, the Family Practice Services Committee, and the Ministry of Health to identify health care needs in the local community and develop solutions to meet those needs. One of the areas of work that the Division supports are projects and services aimed at improving primary care capacity in our region.

Logan Lake Health Centre seeks a family practitioner to join the primary care clinic. The multidisciplinary team includes a nurse practitioner, registered nurse, and laboratory technician, plus mental health, respiratory therapy, and public health outreach services.
Logan Lake is a growing family-oriented community that offers so much to explore. Located in the heart of the Highland Valley, there are numerous community, sports, and outdoor activities. $10,000 rural recruitment incentive is available for eligible candidates as well as a relocation bonus of $9,000-15,000. A physician residing and practicing in the community is also eligible for a 8.93% fee premium and $13,544 as part of the Rural Retention Program.

Clinic hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30-4:30. There is no after-hours requirement and there is a trauma protocol in place for serious cases to be sent to Kamloops. The team is very collegial and consists of two physicians, three MOAs, and an office manager. The clinic is set up with MedAccess EMR with charts and remote access. The IH Health Centre is next to the clinic with other services.

Office hours are 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday (a four-day week may be negotiated) and has no after hour requirements. This position is eligible for relocation funding and recruitment incentives, as well as a retention premium of 10.78% and a retention flat fee of $16,359.42.
